As an introduction to Physiotherapy for children at The Wellness Centre (Castle Quay), we are offering a special Digital Posture & Movement Health Check for children for only £ 27.00 (normally £ 45).
Oftentimes, children develop poor posture due to homework and school obligations. As many daily tasks in a child’s life are done electronically, children end up slouched over a desk or computer with little daily movement. Consumer research has found that over half of teenagers have suffered with headaches, back or neck problems.
A good posture is so much more than standing up straight and has the potential to provide your child with numerous health benefits. For example, higher energy levels, confidence, prevention or relief of neck and back tension, and prevention of future or already existing chronic back pain.
This Health Check (30 min) includes 1) brief History 2) Digital PostureScreen Assessment and 3) Digital Functional MoveScreen Assessment. The results will be discussed with you and your child on the day and relevant advice given. You will also receive an email with all findings from the assessment.

Digital PostureScreen Assessment
PostureScreen allows for quick and accurate digital assessment of a child’s posture and enables detailed reports to be sent to your computer, tablet or smartphone within seconds! Trained Healthcare Professionals make use of this powerful software (digital postural analysis) to perform postural assessments on patients, and in combination with a wider clinical picture & knowledge can determine the overall health of ones postural muscle balance.
Digital Functional MoveScreen Assessment
Using a highly accurate, HIPAA compliant software for trained professionals, your child’s functional movements will be accurately and objectively evaluated. The child will be asked to perform a few easy movements such as a squat, which our Physiotherapist will analyze with the help of technology to quickly determine the overall health of the child’s movement patterns.
